Did you ever think that a floral mural on the shower wall in your bathroom renovation might look good? Lots of Decorated Bathroom Company customer’s are fulfilling life-long passions and creating the flower bathroom of their dreams with the Scented Garden design. I decorate these roses, tulips, cornflowers, butterflies and hummingbirds on sinks and toilets. Also, sometimes I create murals to ‘go-with’. Brenda (not her real name) was just the nicest lady, and she had a few slanted walls in her bathroom. Consequently, it required some planning to create this flower bathroom in an old home outside New York City, so we had to talk quite a few times to get all the details coordinated.
She was shopping like mad online choosing the vanity, light fixtures and mirror and I designed the tile murals to fit around them and on her walls. It looks easy but it was quite a bit of hard work on both our part. The bathroom is quite small on one wall, and the size of the tiles had to fit with the flowers, and the distance from the walls, size of the mirror, vanity, plumbing locations, etc.
Scented Garden Flowers, Hummingbirds & Butterflies Bathroom
I planned out the layout for the tiles on the wall, unfortunately the installer didn’t follow that exactly, otherwise the lovely emblem over the toilet would have been over the toilet. The mural is accented with hummingbirds, butterflies, bees and ladybugs. I also made some separate accent tiles (you can see some in the reflection on the mirror) with bouquets of flowers, as well as some separate butterfly tiles.
The classic mahogany vanity with a lovely dark brown marble top and fancy gold faucets really accents the flowers and biscuit fixture well. I didn’t think the brown would match but I think it looks great, especially with the faucets. As you can see in the next photo.
Scented Garden Design Painted on Barclay Sienna
This sink is a really pretty fluted drop-in sink in biscuit, which is quite small, about 15 x 13″ and is a great choice when you don’t have a lot of extra counter space. It’s a Barclay Sienna. I’ve used quite a few of them over the last few years. Lots of customers like to use decorated sinks in a small space. Some of the flowers painted on the sink are tulips, poppies, roses, daisies, violets, chrysanthemums, iris, morning glory and cornflowers. So you can say practically every color in the rainbow. Also, this one has a gray hummingbird with a green throat. Also a nice butterfly, one I don’t use very often.

Flower Tile Mural Mirror Surround
You can get a better view of the flower bathroom murals that surrounds the mirror. It has the same flowers as in the design, and several hummingbirds and butterflies. Because the counter is quite small the choice of the small sink is a good one as this isn’t a guest bathroom. It’s the bathroom of Brenda’s dreams. I make lots of different murals in this design, check them out in some previous blog posts. Scented Garden & Hummingbirds Toto Toilet
This is a really nice Toto toilet that (as usual) is no longer available since everything now in the bathroom is more modern. I’m just as glad because it is really difficult to get the flowers to look good back there. This can take many hours!!!
Therefore, I have another toilet I like to use for this design, the Kohler Devonshire. It’s a really nice toilet to decorate with a bowed front. Flowers, Butterflies & Hummingbirds Tile Mural and Towel Bar
This is another flower bathroom murals on one of the other walls. The photo isn’t the best so I’m only showing one of them here. Again, it’s complicated to get it all sorted out on the wall so it looks in proportion. I do think Brenda will be ‘walking into a fragrant(?) flower garden when she walks into the bathroom.’ You can also see the matching towel bar ends in this photo. They are made from ceramic and kiln-fired just like the rest of our decorated bathroom fixtures. I can decorate tons of stuff to match your bathroom in any design. Flower Tile Bathroom Mural Designs
These are some of the mock-ups with accent tile around the edges. Doing the accent tiles around the edges is a better idea, that way there is no issue with the tiles not matching exactly and I think it frames the mural better.
